GUIDANCE FOR THE THINKING

Build an analysis
you can stand behind.

The task is more than collecting information. We help you examine what the material supports, how it fits together and what still needs checking.

Working towards a dissertation? ↗

A question with a route

Refine the question, identify the brief’s priorities and build an investigation plan with a manageable scope.

Sources you can account for

Plan a search, evaluate sources in context and distinguish relevant evidence from assumptions or claims that need checking.

A framework that does useful work

Analyse case facts, discuss a suitable framework and explain how it helps answer the question—and where its limits lie.

Findings with a clear argument

Organise findings, connect evidence to interpretation, review referencing and turn tutor feedback into practical revision steps.

A USEFUL PAUSE BEFORE YOU CITE

Ask more of
the source.

No score or colour can replace reading the actual material. Check the source itself and your university’s guidance.

RelevanceDoes it address this question, population or case context?

Look beyond a matching keyword. A different setting or purpose can limit how useful a source is to your argument.

CredibilityWho produced it, how and for what purpose?

Examine authorship, method, publication context and the evidence behind the claim. Be explicit about what you can verify.

LimitationsWhat can it help you say—and what can it not?

Consider gaps, age, scope and alternative explanations. A limitation can belong in the argument rather than being hidden.

FROM THE BOARD TO A CONVERSATION

Bring the brief.
Keep the question open.

Share the case or research question and tell us where you need help. You can begin with a brief, a reading list or a draft.

SCOPE & TOTAL PRICE

We review the brief, existing material, requested support and deadline before confirming the scope and total price. The overview’s word-rate does not automatically cover every specialist or technical component.

WHAT WILL HELP US UNDERSTAND THE TASK

The material
behind the question.

  • Research question or case brief and marking rubric
  • Word count and current stage
  • Required framework or referencing style
  • Existing draft or tutor feedback
  • Deadline and time zone

ONLY HOURS REMAINING?

Tell us the actual hours remaining and your time zone. Availability and a realistic scope must be discussed before work is agreed.

BEFORE YOU ENQUIRE

Start with
what you have.

I have a topic but no research question. What should I send?

Share the topic, assessment brief and marking rubric. We can discuss a focused question, the material needed and a feasible investigation plan.

Can you help me evaluate sources?

We can guide relevance, credibility, methods and limitations, and help you plan a search. You must read and verify the actual sources and follow your university’s guidance. A quotation on its own does not establish source quality.

Do I need to choose a framework first?

Send any required framework or module guidance. If none is specified, we can discuss appropriate options and what each would help you examine. The choice depends on the question, case and discipline; confirm course expectations with your tutor.

What is the difference between description and analysis?

Description sets out what the case says. Analysis explains why a detail matters to the question, using evidence and a relevant framework while acknowledging limits or alternative explanations.

Can you review referencing and tutor feedback?

Yes. Share your current draft, original feedback and required referencing style. We can help you identify gaps, improve citation consistency and plan revisions to your own work.

How are scope and price confirmed?

The Academic Assistance overview advertises £12 per 1,000 words before applicable taxes. We review the brief, existing material, requested support and deadline to confirm scope, applicable tax and total payable before you agree or pay. Do not assume the word-rate covers every specialist or technical component.

My deadline is close. What happens next?

Use the urgent-hours WhatsApp draft. Enter the hours remaining, exact deadline and time zone, then attach the brief and current work inside WhatsApp. We discuss availability and a realistic scope; no deadline is automatically accepted.

with a better question.
